Got our wedding congrats card from the Obamas. Man, someone had a busy weekend!

(Yes, you can send an invite to the White House. They still haven’t RSVP’d though…)

I need suggestions for hair/makeup ppl in NYC I can use for my wedding. I’ve gotten a few tips on FB but would like a wide range to look through as I am clueless and don’t have a hairperson I use on a regular basis. HALP?

We’re not going to be like J.Lo’s [character] in ‘The Wedding Planner.’

who was married in the nyc-area have a wedding officiant that they would recommend? someone who’s open to interfaith ceremonies (christian/jewish)? holla please?

I first fell in love with the lines of this bowl the minute I saw Diane Keaton’s character holding it up as she asks her unwanted house guest (Jack Nicholson) “Eggs or pancakes?” in the 2003 film”Something’s Gotta Give” production designed by Jon Hutman. It took awhile before I tracked it to Williams Sonoma and bought the classic No. 9 shape. It has quickly become my favorite bowl for everything. Not only do I love the shape of it, but the color of it (all porcelain is not equal), the weight of it, and the quality of it. So much so, I’m treating myself to the larger size for the New Year. next time guests come, I can offer eggs and pancakes without hesitation!

Sometimes registry research has surprising delights, like this review on a serving bowl.

Breaking my no-wedding-stuffs rule for this.  How can I get DJ Hello Kitty to DJ my wedding? (via Sanrio blog)

Templatized, terrible wedding websites are a huge pet peeve of mine so one of my main goals is to have an actually useful and cute wedding site. None of the crappy “how we met” BS. Anyone know of any killer (easy?) website makers or want to make me one?

Right now, I’m OBVI thinking Tumblr. Any other ideas, smarties?
