Belated GPOYW (gvoyw?). Did I ever share with you the video of my URDB clogging record? Well if not here it is. (I’m currently submitting it for the URDB book, because the deadline is today, fyi)

Edit: and the reason that outfit is so small is because it’s from middle/high school. bye. (thatbeltwassotight)

So the room was already on edge when Kelly Reeves of URLesque fame performed a bit of “redneck tap dancing,” setting the world record for “Most Clogging #1 Steps in 30 Seconds.” She hoofed it up like a Grand Ole Opry veteran, all the while wearing a delightfully Hee Haw-flavored dress from her days as an eighth-grader. Clog on, Kelly.

Belated GPOYW? I’m awaiting the video to hit the net but you can see a graphic interpretation of me setting my clogging record above (far left). In other excitement, Jeff and I bid on this sketch (and won!) for charity and so I look forward to reminiscing for years to come (or until some crazy clogging ppl beat my record which they prob will).

urdb:

Massively excited for this event. Our lineup features the likes of Kelly Reeves, Elna Baker, Cory Cavin, Todd Lamb, Alex Young, and many more. The night also marks the NYC debut of Kickstarter legend ToTs, the world’s only rapper who rhymes exclusively about potatoes.

All proceeds from the night will go to The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a group that raises funds to combat childhood cancer. Advance tickets (highly recommended) available here.

For some odd reason, I agreed to participate in this month’s URDB event by trying to set a record that involves clogging… something I did when I was young. I have one of my outfits from back then (gonna try to fit into it) and my shoes. I’m scared to practice, lest I annoy my neighbors or scratch up my floor…. so we’ll see how this goes. Like riding a bike?
