The only thing I HAD to do while in Texas is visit Caplin the Capybara — an Urlesque favorite. I checked out his home and we had lots of fun watching him do tricks, swim and eat popsicles. Urlesque Hits SXSW — Be a Part of Our Scavenger Hunt! - Urlesque

I’m really excited about how Urlesque is using Seed down at SXSW. (If you’re not sure what it is, go get schooled.)

We’ve created a series of fun photo-hunting assignments like geeks looking at electronics and sticker-covered laptops for conference goers to submit to Urlesque through Seed. The best part? We’ll pay you $5 per photo if we pick ‘em to publish on the site.

Not going to the conference? That’s okay! You can still get your feet wet in Seed (and write for Urlesque!!) with a couple other non-SXSW related items. We’re collecting the stories of your Googlegangers, your social networking horror stories and your impulse URL purchases (And I know you guys can toootally relate to those).

Check the link on Urlesque for all the details on how to sign up and submit. Can’t wait to see your photos and stories.

Ugh, I don’t even know.

I watched a lot of this show while I was home for Christmas visiting my cutest-in-the-world nephew and I became addicted. The music is so addictive and good and the guests are so hip. As a celeb, I bet it’d be fun to go on a show like this where you can do anything you want to because babies have no idea who you are. Whatever, haters.

And, ya know, stuff like this.

When a karaoke song is so incredibly appealing, yet when you sing it you realize that there are actually only 5 or so words in the entire song that you end up repeating over and over.

OH! This reminds me of what I will refer to as the “Copacabana Problem” where you pick a song without realizing it has an incredibly long (and, subsequently awkward) instrumental break in the middle. Or, even worse, when that instrumental break comes in the form of an extended outro and you never actually get to start singing again.

That is the worst.

I somewhat agree but I also like middle instrumental breaks for a dance breakdown performance.
