Ladies and gentleman, if ever there was a video that you just had to patiently wait for the magic to happen, it’s this one. Yes, the opening sequence taken from that Helen Hunt after-school special where she sniffs drugs and jumps out the window … is awesome in itself. But the Hall & Oates sequence that follows (you read that right) is such pure joy … such wonderment …. you just have to see for yourself. (And if you can’t wait, jump to 1:41.)

My best friend, Haley, got married about a month ago in St. Augustine, Florida. It was a beautiful weekend and wedding. I took some pretty photos but this one is my absolute fave. It reaffirms my thought that I’m only able to take good pictures of animals. This is Maggie.

We’re teaming up with the folks at TechKaraoke to create our first ever NATIONWIDE karaoke event in support of North Shore Animal League America:

SM4SC Sings: A National Day of Karaoke!

The hits you love… the rough notes… the forgotten lyrics… and all for a GREAT cause. Party animals helping real animals!

If you’re in one of the cities below, there’s already an event for you! All you need to do is sign up to rock the mike! If you want to hold your own karaoke event anywhere in America that will donate to North Shore Animal League, contact us, and we’ll include you on this list! We are also looking for local partners who will match the donations made in a particular city. Contact us if you can help make this happen.

Buster has this fun habit of “hunting” things like magnets and photos from the fridge and carrying them around and/or leaving them on the bed as a prize. This morning he was carrying this one around. I like to believe he was trying to tell us something. (I know it’s backwards, but you get the idea)
