Jeff, Joey, Maggie and I took our inaugural trip to CitiField today. The stadium is beautiful and I can’t wait to go to more games there. It reminds me of Turner Field (Go Braves) but airy-er… which is great except for today because it was WINDY as all get out and cold. In fact, I had to buy a sweatshirt for a third layer in the Mets store. I reeeeeally wanted to buy the above onesie for my new nephew because it’s cute and he’s a Braves fan by birth. (I didn’t though).
Anywho, onto the important stuff. The line for Shake Shack was cruzazy so I opted for steak tacos (delicious) for my first feeding. The special Brooklyn Sobroso Beer (at the Taco stand) was also delicious and I highly recommend it. Later I had some of the frites and a classy Bud Light Lime. I could give or take the belgian fries… didn’t love them. I never made it to a hot dog since we left early (read: so cold). Next time!!!
Hopefully once the hype dies down the Shake Shack (and other) lines won’t be so consistently crazy, especially because they were creating a major bottleneck of traffic between the food area and the walkway to left field side.
