When asked “who are you voting for?” I wish not to reply.
If I say one candidate I am instantly judged.
If I say the other candidate I am instantly judged.
Whether it is a good judgement or a poor one, I don’t need that from you.
Yes, I care a lot about our country and its future.
Yes, I want the best for you and me.
Yes, I am voting.
But, if the “wrong” guy wins - it doesn’t change who I AM and what I stand for. It may or may not change my lifestyle and it will definitely make for great historical changes and moments, I am not downplaying that. But, for the past 23 years I have been living freely whether a democrat or a republican has ruled.
Therefore, I am going against the grain and not telling ANYONE. Be satisfied with the fact that I have fulfilled my civic duties.
Same here. No matter who I vote for there will be eyerolls from people in my life. I prefer to keep it a personal decision, as my mom always did (though not so much anymore with her recent e-mail FWDs :)
