i wasn’t the biggest fan of no country for old men. i get antsy in long movies and typically when i actually make it out to the theater, i’m looking to laugh or be entertained… not watch a bunch of folks’ guts spill all over the place. on top of that, when seeing NCFOM some old man sat down beside me REEKING of cologne. so that, when mixed with the aforementioned blood, didn’t make for a pleasant movie-going experience.

after lured into browing endless SAG Awards photogalleries [page views!], i came across a picture of javier bardem and thought oh hello there hottie. i was a little surprised when learning who it actually was. minus the awful, long bowl cut from NCFOM, he cleans up quite nice!

case in point: this pic.

he also looked kinda familar to me so i looked at other movies he’s been in, and of course, i’ve seen none of them. [prob just looks familiar from NCFOM]

i was excited to notice, however, that he stars in love in the time of cholera which i plan to netflix when i get done reading the book [i couldn’t even finish it on vacation, so that should tell you how long it’ll probably take me. thankfully the DVD doesn’t come out until march, so no pressure in the meantime.]

just watched the trailer and it has the potential to be not that great of a movie. anyone seen it?

update: another pic! from the movie. nice.
