these are my favorite jams of ‘07. i couldn’t stop listening to these songs, in particular. none of these tracks appear on albums from my fave albums list, because this list would be too long if those songs were fair game. again, i’m listing in alphabetical order, minus my #1 fave jam of the year….[which is also immune from the no-fave-album-list rule, btw] hopefully you’ll get a sense of variety here.

#1: PARAMORE, ‘MISERY BUSINESS’
hands down, this is my jam of the year. i listen to it multiple times a day, and honestly it is probably the best song in the history of the earth. catchy as all get out, i just can’t stop loving it. ever.  in fact, i’m embedding this mofo. i hope you love it too.

• Bjork, ‘Earth Intruders’ -  this song pumps me up. i enjoy volta overall, but i typically gravitated towards this song. [listen]
• Bloc Party, ‘Flux’  - reminds me of like a club banger party song at first… but this jam really, really rules. [listen]
• Blonde Redhead, ‘23’ - the title track from br’s latest gets me pumped. i don’t really understand what homegirl is saying but it’s okay. i prefer this song with a slight buzz. but it’s just so good. [listen]
• Britney Spears, ‘Gimme More’ - i’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for britters. i worshipped her in high school, after all. while her comeback wasn’t that triumphant… this song was pretty darn addictive. [video]
• Carrie Underwood, ‘So Small’ - crap i am such a SUCKER for swelling, emotional ballads. couple that with the video and dang i’m teary-eyed. [listen and watch the video here]
• Chromeo, ‘Tenderoni’ - this song gets my booty movin’. i’d probably dig this whole album, but i haven’t taken the time to embrace it. regardless, this is a dancey-fun song that will get your tootsies on the floor. [listen to it, and others via vice]
• Coconut Records, ‘Back To You’ - this adorable song comes from jason schwartzman’s solo shindig. [grab mp3 here]
• Dungen, ‘Familj’ - i love this band and didn’t spend enough time with their new release Tio Bitar. however, i LOVE this song. especially the hoe-down fiddle part. [watch]
• Fall Out Boy, ‘This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race’ - i think my love for this song was fueled by its inclusion in that awesome verizon commercial featuring the beefcake dude at the gym that says ‘this song gets…me..pumped!’ [watch actual viddy]
• Feist, ‘I Feel It All’ - homegirl was all over the tube/net this year but this song is a good jam all around. [watch instudio]
• Feist, ‘My Moon My Man’ -  great beat. [watch video]
• Good Charlotte, ‘I Don’t Wanna Be In Love (dance floor anthem)’ - i hate admitting that i like a good charlotte song, but this. song. is. so. good. and i like how they self-proclaim it a ‘dance floor anthem, lol. [video]
• Hanson, ‘Great Divide’ -i love hanson and i’m not afraid to admit it. this is a good song. l a great mix of the hanson i love with a hint of gospel choir. nice. [listen]
• Hilary Duff, ‘With Love’ - maybe i was just surprised at hil’s attempt at dancey music, but i like this jam [hear or watch video]
• The Hood Internet, ‘What You Know About Transparent Things’ - this mashup of T.I. vs. Fujiya & Miyagi is amazing because whenever i hear the individual songs now, it sounds empty to my ear. [download at hood internet]
• I’m From Barcelona, ‘Oversleeping’ - this is a fun, cute song. [listen]
• Justice, ‘D.A.N.C.E.’ - me and everyone else in the world boogied down to this song this year. [watch cute vid]
• Kaiser Chiefs,  ‘Ruby’ - this is a fun one from our friends across the pond. [watch]
• Kayne West, ‘Stronger’ - i’m a sucker for kayne. i’m also a sucker for daft punk and IMO, this song KILLS it. [watch]
• Kelly Clarkson, ‘Never Again’ - kelly is a standard…and this jam just might make its way into my karaoke repertoire. [watch]
• Mary J. Blige, ‘Just Fine’ - wooboy this gets me movin’ [watch]
• Rich Boy, ‘Throw Some Ds’ - for a lil while this was on my bf’s alarm and woke me up several mornings. therefore, i probably only love a portion of the song, but whateves. [video]
• The Rosebuds, ‘Get Up Get Out’ - this dancy jam also gets me movin’. [listen]
• Sea Wolf, ‘You’re A Wolf’ - good all around chill jam. [download interface, grab mp3]
• The Shins, ‘Australia’ - the truth of the matter, i forgot this in  my fave albums post. the whole ‘it leaked super early but released in january’ thing threw me off. i chose this good jam… but the whole thing is pretty solid. [listen]
• Soulja Boy, ‘Crank That (Soulja Boy)’ - all around amazingness. [watch video, check out cats crankin’ that]
• T-Pain, ‘Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin)’ - for some reason i love this song [which also was a part of the bf’s alarm choice songs]. when i tried to listen to the whole album i was blushing cause it’s so dirty. but this song is such a good jam. i like to do the dance from the video, too. [watch]
• VietNam, ‘Welcome To My Room’ - i probably like this band cause they’re hairy/dirty but this track is a really good, rockin jam. [watch]
• Voxtrot, ‘Kid Gloves’ - i love this song. so catchy, bouncy and fun. [download interface]
