the great thing about nyc is that every touring band typically passes through multiple times. as a nyc transplant, i’m still learning that i don’t have to see every band i like every time they play [there are exceptions to that rule, of course]. regardless i, like many friends, strangers and colleagues, see way too many shows. honestly most are fine, forgettable or bad at worst....

these are my favorite jams of ‘07. i couldn’t stop listening to these songs, in particular. none of these tracks appear on albums from my fave albums list, because this list would be too long if those songs were fair game. again, i’m listing in alphabetical order, minus my #1 fave jam of the year….[which is also immune from the no-fave-album-list rule, btw] hopefully...

i don’t listen to nearly as many different albums and artists as other folks. when i like something, i go all in. i’m ALL over it. so in the case of albums… i will listen to the same album ad nauseum. and then keep listening. so, it leaves very little time to try something new. it’s gotta grab me very quickly. or someone has to shove it in my face. : ) TIER ONE -...

look, i’m really terrible at picking favorites [i get guilty]. thus, year-end list making comes with very high levels difficulty for me. but on the flip side, i also enjoy reflecting on the year that was. to offset any imagined ‘hard feelings,’ the best i could come up with is lame alphabetically and tiered sorted lists. whatever. i hope you enjoy them!
